In expanding the Asian American Focus section this year at the New York Asian Film Festival, masterclasses and special talks with industry professionals were created to offer valuable insights to aspirating filmmakers.
NYAFF hosted an illuminating conversation with key Asian American film industry professionals at the Elinor Bunin Amphitheater at Film at Lincoln Center. Dennis Liu (creator, “Raising Dion”), Brian Yang (producer, Dealing with Dad, Snakehead), Doris Yeung (director, producer, founder of CinemAsia Film Festival), and Kyle Shin “Son of Paper” (rapper, filmmaker) discussed navigating the film industry as independent creators and Asian Americans.
